At Berkley Pet Hospital, we are pleased to offer in-house radiology services, including digital radiography and ultrasound. Digital radiography, also known as an x-ray, uses radiation to produce images of a pet’s bones and internal organs. These images can help our veterinarians diagnose a range of conditions, from broken bones to bladder stones.
Ultrasound is another common form of in-house radiology that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of a pet’s internal organs. This non-invasive technique is particularly useful for diagnosing conditions affecting the heart, liver, and kidneys. It can also be used to detect pregnancy and monitor fetal development in pregnant animals.
